Former State Auditor, Democrat Brian Sonntag and King County Sheriff John Urquhart Endorse Councilmember Reagan Dunn
King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn today announced the endorsements of former State Auditor, Democrat Brian Sonntag and King County Sheriff John Urquhart.
These endorsements further highlight the broad support Councilmember Dunn has received for his campaign for re-election. Councilmember Dunn previously announced the endorsements of all eight non-partisan mayors in King County Council District 9 and with the endorsement of Sheriff Urquhart, Councilmember Dunn has earned another high-profile, non-partisan endorsement.
“Reagan Dunn has been a strong advocate for the Sheriff’s Office on the Council,” said Sheriff John Urquhart, who has been working in the King County Sheriff’s office since 1980. “Councilmember Dunn’s experience and
leadership with the issues facing the Sheriff’s office and public safety have been great assets and I am proud to work with him at the County and I am proud to support his re-election.”
The endorsement of Councilmember Dunn from former five-term Democrat State Auditor Brian Sonntag highlights the support Councilmember Dunn has earned from Independents, Democrats and Republicans
alike in his bid for re-election.
“The experience and background Councilmember Dunn brings to the table is a great benefit to the King County Council and the residents of his district,” former State Auditor Brian Sonntag said. “I have had the
privilege to know and work with Reagan over the course of the past 9 years and I enthusiastically support his re-election.”
“I am humbled and honored to have the support of these two distinguished public servants,” said Councilmember Dunn. “Both Brian and John have long histories of placing their commitments to the public’s best
interest above all else, and I’m truly honored to earn their endorsements.”
Councilmember Dunn won the August primary by over 20 points, was rated “Outstanding” by the Municipal League of King County, their highest rating, and has been endorsed by The Seattle Times, the SEATTLE
