The Renton Firefighters IAFF Local 864 Endorse Councilmember Reagan Dunn for Re-Election to the King County Council

King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn today announced the endorsement of Renton Firefighters IAFF Local 864.

The members of the Renton Firefighters IAFF Local 864 not only protect the residents of the City of Renton, but also the residents of unincorporated King County that live within King County Fire District 25 in the East Renton Highlands and King County Fire District 40 which primarily serves the Fairwood community.

“The Renton firefighters union has a motto, ‘Support those who support us.’  Reagan has lived up to that from day one,” said Ryan Simonds, President of Renton Firefighters Local 864.  “We are honored to support Reagan in his re-election run for county council.  Thank you for all your support over the years from Renton Firefighters Local 864.”

 “I’m truly humbled to receive the support of the brave men and woman of Renton Firefighters IAFF Local 864,” said Councilmember Dunn.  “These trained professionals work day and night to protect our community and earning their backing is a huge boost to the campaign.”

As a Councilmember, Reagan has led efforts to combat addiction, advocate for our veterans and fight against human trafficking. Dunn has voted against more tax increases than any other member of the County Council, works to protect the environment, and prioritizes county spending by standing up against waste and government inefficiencies.

Councilmember Dunn has also been endorsed by all nine mayors in County Council District 9 and a majority of Councilmembers from the Cities of Bellevue, Enumclaw, Maple Valley and Renton.

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Receives Endorsements from Mayor and a Majority of Renton City Councilmembers

Councilmember Reagan Dunn today proudly announces the endorsement of the Mayor and a majority of Councilmembers from the City of Renton for his campaign for re-election to the King County Council.

Endorsing Dunn’s re-election to the King County Council are Mayor Denis Law, Council President Armondo Pavone, and Councilmembers Ruth Pérez, Don Persson and Carol Ann Witschi.

“From protecting our community from flooding, to helping to create more affordable housing in in Renton, Reagan Dunn has been there working to help find solutions,” said Mayor Denis Law.  “We need his voice on the County Council and that is why I wholeheartedly support his bid for re-election."

"I’m excited to endorse Reagan Dunn for re-election to the King County Council,” said Carol Ann Witschi. “He has been an advocate for the City of Renton, a partner of the City Council, and I hope he gets the opportunity to continue his work for another term.”

 “I work tirelessly on behalf of the residents of the City of Renton and I’m honored to have earned this level of support from the City’s leadership,” said Councilmember Dunn. “Within the last few years I’ve worked successfully to provide funding for increased transit service, protection from flooding, affordable housing, and parks, and if re-elected, I will continue to advocate funding for priorities such as these for the greater Renton community.”

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Receives Unanimous Endorsement of Bellevue City Council

Today, Councilmember Reagan Dunn, who is running for re-election to the King County Council, proudly announced the endorsement of the entire Bellevue City Council.

Endorsing Dunn’s re-election to the King County Council are Mayor John Stokes, Deputy Mayor John Chelminiak, and Councilmembers Conrad Lee, Jennifer Robertson, Lynne Robinson, Ernie Simas and Kevin Wallace.

“Bellevue is a diverse and growing community that is ably represented by Reagan Dunn” said Bellevue Mayor John Stokes. “I strongly support his bid for re-election.”

“I have been able to work closely with Reagan and really appreciate the thoughtful and collaborative approach he utilizes when addressing the issues important to Bellevue and the region at large,” said Bellevue City Councilmember Jennifer Robertson. “I am proud to endorse him for re-election to the King County Council.”

“I work hard to represent the interests of the residents of Bellevue on the County Council,” said Councilmember Dunn. “I’m appreciative that my work, such as increasing transit service and advocating for funding to address flooding issues, has helped me to earn the unanimous endorsement of the city’s leadership.”

Endorsing Dunn’s re-election to the King County Council are Mayor Liz Reynolds, and Councilmembers Kimberly Lauk, Mike Sando, Chance La Fleur, Juanita Carstens, Jan Molinaro and Hoke Overland.

"Reagan understands the needs of the residents of the Enumclaw Plateau and I unequivocally support his re-election to the County Council," said Mayor Liz Reynolds.

“The Enumclaw Plateau has been well served by Reagan Dunn’s representation. “said Councilmember Hoke Overland, “As a city councilmember, I appreciate his collaborative approach, honesty and hard work to benefit our community.”

Councilmember Reagan Dunn Receives Endorsements from a Super Majority of Maple Valley City Councilmembers including Mayor

Councilmember Reagan Dunn announced today the backing of an overwhelming majority of Councilmembers from the City of Maple Valley.

Endorsing Dunn’s re-election to the King County Council are Mayor Sean Kelly, Deputy Mayor Dana Parnello, and Councilmembers Bill Allison, Les Burberry, Linda Johnson and Erin Weaver.

“Because of the outstanding partnership with Councilmember Dunn, The City of Maple Valley will have a state-of-the-art brand-new Tahoma High School and Regional Learning Center opening soon in Maple Valley,” said Mayor Sean Kelly. “Councilmember Dunn was instrumental in saving the King County Sheriff's Office Air (helicopter) Support Unit. Maple Valley is a contract partner with the King County Sheriff's Office and the Air Support Unit is a resource we use frequently. “

 “I am very pleased to have the support of a clear majority of the City Council of Maple Valley,” said Councilmember Dunn. “I’ve worked hard to increase bus service and provide for greater recreational opportunities for area youth and I’m appreciative for this strong show of support for my work on behalf of the residents of Maple Valley.”
