Reagan Dunn Raises Nearly $350,000 in First Month of Campaign

Just 32 days after announcing his run for Washington's 8th Congressional District, Reagan Dunn had already raised nearly $350,000 dollars.

King County Council Vice-Chair Reagan Dunn announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress during the busy holiday season, and still managed to raise nearly $350,000 in just over 30 days following the announcement.

“I am so honored by the overwhelming support this campaign has received from all across the 8th Congressional District,” said Dunn. “The impressive fundraising result demonstrates that Washingtonians on both sides of the Cascades are ready for new leadership in Congress, and I am the only candidate capable of taking on the current incumbent and winning.”

The first poll to test the newly configured 8th Congressional District showed Dunn easily leading a field of Republican candidates in the primary by more than a 2-1 margin. More importantly, Dunn currently leads Democrat incumbent Kim Schrier by 4 percent in her own district, signaling to the nation that Washington’s 8th Congressional District will be a key part of Republican efforts nationwide to retake Congress.

In addition to this remarkable fundraising result, Dunn has already received endorsements from numerous local leaders and officials, including former Congressman Dave Reichert, who is chairing the campaign.
