WACOPS Endorses Reagan Dunn for Congress

Today Reagan Dunn’s campaign for Congress announced that the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs (WACOPS), Washington State’s largest organization representing law enforcement, has endorsed his candidacy for Congress.

“WACOPS is pleased to extend its endorsement to Reagan Dunn,” said Teresa Taylor, Executive Director of WACOPS. “Reagan is a diligent servant leader working hard to protect public safety and will push for common-sense policies in Congress.”

“I’m so grateful for the support of law enforcement officers and WACOPS,” said Dunn. “I’ll be a stalwart voice for law and order in Congress and will always support our police. As a King County Councilmember, I’ve resisted and turned back Seattle-style attempts to defund and attack the police, and have pushed to RE-fund our brave men and women who keep our neighborhoods safe. As a Congressman, I’ll take that same approach to DC and fight attempts to undermine them.”

As a former federal prosecutor with Top Secret clearance and National Coordinator for Project Safe Neighborhoods: America’s national initiative to fight violent crime, Reagan has been a tireless advocate for public safety.

WACOPS joins a growing list of major endorsements of Dunn’s campaign, including former Congressman Dave Reichert (who represented the 8th Congressional District until his retirement in 2019), former Congressman Doc Hastings, former Governor and US Senator Dan Evans, Kittitas County Sheriff Clay Myers, and many more.

The Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs is a professional organization that has protected the rights and quality of life for sworn law enforcement officers in Washington state for more than 50 years.
