Reagan Dunn Can Win and Hold the 8th Congressional District
I am the only candidate who can win the 8th Congressional seat and hold this seat in the future. I know how to win elections, and I know what it takes to keep voters’ trust to prevent a constant back-and-forth over who takes control every two years.
That’s the primary difference between my Republican primary opponents and myself.
A poll conducted by Moore Information Group – before I officially entered the race – shows me winning the 8th congressional district over the Democrat incumbent by 4 percent. No other Republican candidate beat out the incumbent in a head-to-head match-up.
In November 2021, I won my fifth term on the King County Council, besting my Democrat opponent by 25% of the vote, in one of the most liberal counties in the nation. This was after the Democrats’ spent $420,000 trying to defeat me. King County Council District 9 is not a +25 Republican district. I won because voters – especially independents and even Democrats – trust me to work hard for them.
Voters know my commitment to supporting law enforcement and trust that I will fight to enact and enforce laws that hold criminals accountable. They know my commitment to fiscal responsibility and trust that I will fight against wasteful government spending and higher taxes. And they know my commitment to implementing compassionate solutions to people suffering from substance use addictions and trust that I will fight against the massive inflow of narcotics and fentanyl endangering our children and our communities.
Voters don’t have to guess what I’ll do if they send me to work for them in Congress. My track record proves I will uphold the values that still unite our district – from public safety to fiscal responsibility.
